Brushed red anodized aluminum sheets combine a directional brushed texture with red anodized coloring. The red pigment is embedded within the pores of the anodic oxide layer—which grows directly from the substrate—resulting in a surface with a continuous, uniform, straight-line brushed texture, rich color, and a distinct metallic aesthetic. Haomei Aluminum offers stable, large-scale production of brushed red anodised aluminum sheet for global clients in the signage, home appliance, commercial decor, and equipment enclosure sectors. We maintain strict, closed-loop control over the entire process—from brushing and anodizing to pore sealing—to minimize batch-to-batch color variations and inconsistencies in the grain pattern.

Available substrates of brushed red anodised aluminium sheet include 1060 pure aluminum, as well as 5005 and 5052 rust-resistant aluminum alloys. The 1060 aluminum offers excellent ductility, resulting in a smooth brushed finish and deep, uniform color penetration; it is frequently used for indoor signage and consumer electronic panels. The 5005 and 5052 aluminum provide superior corrosion resistance, making them ideal for outdoor signage and storefront facades, as they remain stable and resistant to deformation or cracking even in environments with fluctuating temperatures. We offer mass production in thicknesses ranging from 0.3 mm to 4.0 mm, with 0.6 mm–2.0 mm being the most common specifications for signage and decorative panels. Standard brushed aluminum sheet sizes include 1000×2000 mm, 1220×2440 mm, and 1500×3000 mm. We also provide custom cutting and slitting services, with thickness tolerances controlled within ±0.04 mm. For the brushing process, we use 240–400 grit abrasive belts applied at a constant speed. This ensures a consistent groove depth of 6–10 μm, with the grain direction controlled to within a 2° deviation across the entire panel. The surface remains free of irregular “skipping” marks, broken lines, or localized variations in depth or tone.
Anodizing is performed using a Type II sulfuric acid process, with the bath temperature maintained at 19–21°C and a current density of 1.1–1.4 A/dm². For indoor applications, the anodic oxide film thickness is 8–12 μm, meeting standard wear-resistance requirements; for outdoor use, the thickness is 15–20 μm, with an option for a 20–22 μm thickened layer for high-salinity coastal environments. For the red finish, we utilize light-fast organic dyes with precisely controlled immersion times. The final product achieves an L-value of 45–55, with a color difference (ΔE) of ≤1.0 within a single panel and ≤1.4 between batches. Following coloration, the pores are sealed using a medium-temperature nickel-salt process, resulting in a weight-loss value of less than 0.5 mg/dm² during the seal-quality test. The material withstands 1,000 hours of neutral salt spray testing without pitting and shows a color shift (ΔE) of ≤2.4 after 800 hours of QUV ultraviolet aging. The Vickers hardness of the oxide layer exceeds HV280, ensuring the surface is resistant to visible scratches from daily wear.
A common issue with red brushed and anodized aluminum is the presence of residual aluminum dust in the brushed grooves due to inadequate washing, which leads to dark lines or streaks after the coloring process. Our production line incorporates both high-pressure spraying and ultrasonic cleaning after the brushing stage to remove all abrasive debris from the grooves before the panels enter the anodizing line. This specific procedural detail is the result of extensive experience gained through long-term prototyping. Many competitors simplify their cleaning processes, which often leads to visible defects when clients subsequently perform laser engraving or bending. We previously supplied 1.5mm 5052 brushed red anodized aluminum sheets for a chain of retail stores in Southeast Asia. Two years after installation, the red finish on the outdoor signage remains stable, with no reports of significant fading or graying.
Brushed red anodised aluminium sheet is suitable for laser engraving, bending, punching, and CNC machining. After engraving, the brushed background remains distinct, ensuring excellent contrast for text and graphics. Common applications include brand signage, retail feature walls, elevator decorative panels, enclosures for audio-visual equipment, control panels for high-end small appliances, and decorative components for display cases. The product is RoHS and REACH compliant and meets the ASTM B580 standard.Haomei maintains a stock of standard specifications; small-batch samples can be delivered within 3–5 days, while large-volume orders have a lead time of 7–12 days. We support FOB, CIF, and EXW trade terms, as well as settlements in USD. Each shipment includes a color-difference record, a salt-spray test report, and a material certificate. We invite you to request samples to verify the texture and color (including red-tone options) or to discuss customized solutions for your specific projects.
